WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL POSTAL MAIL HANDLERS UNION, LOCAL 300, NJI-BMC BRANCH HOMEPAGE

 Hundreds of trailers and thousands of parcels are processed and sent on their way daily! The plant has approximately 2,000,000 square feet of workroom floor. We have nine different starting times. We have three Sack Sorting Machines (SSM's) and Seven Parcel Sorting Machines (PSM's). In addition we also have six Small Parcel and Bundle Machines (SPBS's) and four Non-Machinable Belts (NMOS).

WE GET THE JOB DONE! WE DO IT SAFELY, EFFICIENTLY AND QUICKLY!

Of the twenty-one Bulk Mail Centers we are the biggest. We take pride in what we do and we provide a tremendous shot in the arm to the local economy. Our members are little league, soccer, basketball and football coaches, as well as Pastors, Deacons, church choir singers, PTA members, Scout leaders, community activist and members of both Civic and Fraternal Organizations in our communities during our off time. We play an intricate and crucial roll in our communities. We work hard for our money and funnel it right back into the local economy. As do, the workers in the other Postal facilities across the country. We are proud of the Service that we provide to every single address in this big country, Universal Service, that is the cheapest in the world.

The public has rated the United States Postal Service as the most efficient of all government agencies.

Postal Service jobs provide benefits and decent wages to the average everyday working class Americans. We are a very diverse workforce. Our workforce truly is a melting pot of different cultures, races and nationalities. We are a true reflection of the average American community.

We work together in harmony and solidarity. Sure we, like everyone else in this country have different and varied views on politics, religion and what path the future of this country should take. But we treat each other with dignity and we respect each other’s opinions and views.

Isn't that what this country is supposed to be all about?

Many of our employees are veterans, people who have put their lives on the line to defend the freedom and lifestyles that all of us enjoy. We want what you want. Safe communities in which to live and raise our families, we want good educations and an opportunity for our children to lead good and productive lives. That’s who Postal workers are. We are your friends and neighbors.

I hope that the above has perhaps given you a different and more accurate view of Postal workers as opposed to the all to often negative view presented in the mass media.
