                                   ANTHRAX UPDATE

At approximately 9:15 this morning I was called up to the International conference room. Both Unions attended as well as the members of the facilities HAZMAT team were in attendance. Bill Gilmartin the Safety Manager informed us that they have received a verbal report, which indicated that the environmental test which were conducted throughout the facility last week all came back negative for Anthrax. While the results are not yet official we are only waiting for the Center for Disease Control to give the results their blessing. That should be coming soon. So I hope that we can all breathe a big sigh of relief as far as any Anthrax in the facility is concerned. The results for the Monmouth and Kilmer facilities came back negative as well.

We should however continue to be vigilant and on the lookout for suspicious letters and parcels. Also you should continue to wear the gloves and mask and wash your hands frequently. Remember to also discard your used masks and gloves in the proper receptacles.
